“I have a 1942 frame and a 1947 tub. It is titled as a 1942.
Willys needs the following work to be road worthy;
New or rebuilt carb. This one has sat with gas in it.
New starter. The one that it has is missing a couple of teeth on the gear.
Windshield glass. I have the gaskets, just not the flat glass.
The wood blocks that go on the hood so that you can lower the windshield.

Anthony is selling these trucks. We got to meet him during our tour of California in 2014.

“This is a great opportunity to own three Willy’s trucks. For sale are a 1955, and two 1959’s. One 59 runs good, street legal, blinkers, speedo, gauges work, could be daily driver. That truck will be sold with a truck cover. The 1959 will be sold with a rebuilt super hurricane flat head six, with water pump and possible clutch assemblies. Additionally, starter has been rebuilt; radiator have been boiled, cleaned and repainted, new tires, extra seats, doors. The trucks are basically all original with engines and transmissions. The 1959 has good transmission that doesn’t jump out of second (notorious for T-90’s), and both 4-wheel drive works well. Some body work will be needed, but the body is in decent shape for 1950’s. I am selling for I do not have the time to refurbish. Clean title on all three. (I will miss them).”

Lew blames me for his newest CJ-2A 🙂

Lew wrote, In the past couple years that I have been watching eWillys I have bought two Willys that were shown here … But this latest was completely your fault. I didnt need a CJ2A. But after watching them for that time on your site, I contracted the disease that I thought was isolated to the wagons, and maybe trucks. So now for at least a year I have looking pretty hard for one for my wife, except she didnt know it and I wasnt sure she would go for it anyway.

At a museum a few months ago I showed her an old MB and asked what she thought. To my amazement she said she thought it was cute and would be fun to drive. That from a woman who has driven pretty much pick ups her whole life thus far. Well a couple weeks ago one showed up in a nearby state that fit our needs and at a negotiated price I could justify. I went and got it and she has been driving it around our farm until it gets registered.

These are checking out the fall colors here in N. UT. We both really enjoy this. Should never have sold our MB ten years ago, and the wagon lacks the topless views, so due to your efforts, we now have this and big smiles.

So, I just wanted to let you know it is your fault that my wife and I now have another Willys and the smiles that come with it.

Ann and her mom dropped by Dayton today to visit the National Museum of the Air Force. She didn’t find any jeeps, but she did run across this neat photo.

“1950 Willys CJ3-a. This was just rebuilt 100% with under 400 miles on it. No rust on frame, fiberglass body and fenders (retained steel hood, grille, windshield frame, dash and cubby under passenger seat). Has low mileage Ford 302/5.0 from mid 90s pickup and t-10 4 speed transmission adapted to Spicer 18 t-case. All have all new seals and gaskets. Runs/shifts/drives great. Also did Saginaw steering box conversion up front. Fresh brakes all the way, etc. Like I said ALL NEW ALL THE WAY. Thinking around $6500, but open to any reasonable discussion on price.”

“1948 Willys CJ2 split windshield Jeep from Montana. Very clean original steel body. The diamond plate on the corners of the tub I believe was put there for strength to mount the tire bracket swing arm, as it is very heavy. There appears not to be any rust on the back side of the tub that the plates are mounted to. Original tailgate that folds down, flat fenders, hood and floor pan.Two very small holes in corners of both front floor pans. Windshield glass and frame good. The body on this CJ2 is VERY CLEAN almost rust free. Has a very reliable V6 Buick motor, that fits nicely and starts and runs great. Has headers and new dual exhaust. Can be driven anywhere. There is no top. Would make a great world war 11 reenactment military Army jeep. Comes with a front winch, roll bar, jack, tow bar, spare tire carrier and a spare tire. Clean original 1948 Ohio title in my name.“

Listed as a 1945, I don’t see any thing ’45 about it.

Love to see this jeep get more attention then I can give it. Flathead 4 Hurricane was rebuilt. Not many miles since. (2000).But it was rebuilt about 25years ago. Never driven on road since rebuild.
